After the night's events, Katey created a daughter with her own face and a son with Kael's features, directing them to couple while Kael watched. She then had Kael finish inside her while the son took the daughter against the hearth. When Kael hesitated, Katey questioned if he wanted her, and he explained he was waiting for her command. She told him to come inside her, and he did, saying her name. Afterwards, she ordered Kael to stay inside her and watch the others finish. Then she commanded both creations to listen to their father—Kael. He now holds authority over them, though he questioned whether this was a gift or a statement about his nature. The creations wait silently by the hearth, obedient. The ward holds outside, the forest hums distantly, and the Heartwood Grove's magic remains unsettled. It is still the first night of three—survive until dawn. Katey's creation power has been used repeatedly, draining her energy and attracting attention.
